| Your own banner on the testsite? I'm exploring the possible interest for this, so I can partly finance this big website - which does cost some to run... For the moment there's about 8GB of sound data on the site, but to make sure, I have a lot more space available... The site is visited by a lot of people from around the world - and several links are leading here from various Internet-forums and websites - from a lot of different countries, so with a banner here, there's a good chance that more visits to your site can be generated, if you make an eye-catching banner. For the moment, there's room for 9 banners (located between the different sessions - and at the start and bottom of the pages) - something which might be expanded if the interest for this concept becomes too big. The ones I have in mind, who might be interested in placing banners here, are for example: I reserve the rights to decide which banners I approve for placement on the site - and companies which compete with my own business, of course will have a hard time to convince me - but it might be a matter of discussion in some cases, so ask if you're interested anyway... I divide the swedish and the english pages, so that a banner booked on the english pages, includes one banner on the english WAV-page and one banner on the english MP3-page (but none on the swedish pages). Those WAV-page and MP3-page banners can be different if you wish. I've made this separation because not everything is suitable for both language groups. What about the cost then? I'm thinking that 250 SEK (about 32 USD) / month for a banner on both pages for the preferred language is fair initially. Because the first banner is always among the first a visitor sees, the cost will be 400 SEK (about 52 USD) / month for this better placement. The same thing goes for the last banner, because those who are mostly interested in the last session (people tend to be so, when I've notified them that a new group of test recordings has been finished...), will go down to the bottom first - before they continue looking at the rest. If you want to have banners on both language options at the same time, you'll get 50% discount on the other language pages. Possibly, I'll separate private persons and companies eventually, so that companies pay some more, but in the initial phase, everyne pays the same monthly fee. The banners are uploaded after full payment has been received by bank transfer (all bank fees paid by you) - and if the interest for this banner advertising becomes too big, I might have to put a limit on how long the same person/company will be allowed to have a banner placed on the site. Otherwise, many others migh not get a chance to place their banner here... To start with, I set a limit of max 3 months in a row, but this might be modified to follow the amount of interest... Of course, it's ok to have a banner only for one month too if you want that. The monthly cost is the same either way. Because this is handled in my company, you will naturally receive a proper receipt by mail for this advertisement. You have to make the banner yourself. The size is the standard 468*60 pixels - and you send the banner to me via mail. It must be in GIF- or JPG-format (animated GIF is ok - as long as it's not too large...), so that some sort of script doesn't slow things down or make any errors. This picture-banner will be placed on the site, with a link to your prefered website. The reason why I only want banners which are located on the site, is that it's the only way I can be certain that it always works while the testsite works. With external banners, there's always a risk that the site that's hosting the banner, is down - and I want to avoid this because it looks ugly on the site... Normally, I choose where to put your banner, but if you have a preferred place, let me know and you'll have it if it's not already occupied. If you're a manufacturer or distributor, I'll normally place the banner as close as possible to the products in question, if you want me to. I'm also thinking about placing 4-6 smaller banners (ca 150*100 pixels), which are placed at the bottom of the pages and will be cheaper - maybe 100 SEK (about 13 USD) / month - but I haven't decided on this yet...
